i perfer to be called a speck of dirt
I close my ey-ey-ey-ey-ey-eyes? Damn, my CD is skipping.
Yeah sure. If thats how you want to think of it. I think we are cool balls of creation. What I do! LOL
('Cool balls of creation'... Sounds like the makings of a bad pickup line:
"Hey, baby, I saw you from across the party and thought you looked like one cool ball of creation so I... Hey! Where are you going?!)
Or all we do is create "wind" until we die and then, yes...we become dust in the wind.
Yeah... and the dust everywhere else is our dead skin... Oh, last year though, my English teacher told us that wherever we go, DEAD people are there! ^_& Like, you know, the ground and stuff is made up of dead people... This isn't really answering the question...
(EPIC FAIL!)
Maybe in flesh, but what about the energy that fills our bodies and surrounds us? Where does it go since energy is never lost? Where is it transferred to?
I close my eyes
Only for the moment, and the moment's gone
All my dreams
Pass before my eyes with curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind
Yes.
(Solid answer.)

Yep! Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust. I love this song!
(This one actually copied and pasted every word of the song into her answer, then...)
Sorry could not help but sing.

we are the dust in the wind and a speck in the universe
I Guess
I like to think so.
What's the question here?
If the question is what is the song or who sang it, The song is "Dust in the Wind" and the band was "Kansas" I beleive. We Are Dust.
(Oh, good. I'm glad at least one person realized this.)I know, right?
Brilliant song.
(Indeed.)
Kansas
I'm not sure what the future holds but I do know that I'm going to be positive and not wake up feeling desperate. As my dad said "Nic, it is what it is, it's not what it should have been, not what it could have been, it is what it is".- john 16:24
We could go over the cliff. You would hope not. You would hope that people see what needs to be done. It's not rocket science. It's not difficult. It's not even all that costly. It's actually about the way you think about the world.- Tim flannerly

good luck to you. search if you have questions. i can do only so much. so search!!!
(I'm no biblical scholar, but I'm 99.34% sure that what he quoted there isn't John 16:24.)(Indeed.)
Kansas
So ur question would be....True or False?
(No, it wouldn't.)
--"The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers."-m. scott peck.(No, it wouldn't.)
According to Forrest Gump, anyways.
"I don't know if Momma was right or if, if it's Lieutenant Dan. I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floating around accidental-like on a breeze, but I, I think maybe it's both. Maybe both is happening at the same time. I miss you, Jenny. If there's anything you need, I won't be far away. "

Hey. Guess what? This isn't actually a relevant question. It isn't actually a question!
Metaphorically, yea man.
psh. you're dust. i'm better than that. oh yeah... this "question" made me think of a song by Kansas called "dust in the wind"
(Wait, there's a song about this?)Yes, as the song says "all we are is dust in the wind". Kansas from the album Point of Known Return.
Yes we are the rate America is going right now.
nope, but there's wind in the dust... i just farted!
(Clever.)

I totally agree with you ...
woot. kansas is epic. don't hang on. nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky.
(Administrative Comment: Several more people responded with lyrics to the song (which, if you haven't figured it out by now, was Kansas's 'Dust in the Wind'). Also, if you feel that you must listen to the Eight Fingers Down version, I encourage you to leave a nasty comment such as 'You suck', 'I give it eight thumbs down', or 'I hope that you all get hit by a bus'. This should counter any increase in page views you give them.)
The band "Kansas" did it first back in the 1970s. "Eight Fingers Down" did it better in 2005.
(No...no. I looked this up on MySpace. My conlcusion: Every member of Eight Fingers Down should be publicly hanged using Kansas's old guitar strings. I came very close to shedding a tear after I listened to what they've done to this classic song.)(Administrative Comment: Several more people responded with lyrics to the song (which, if you haven't figured it out by now, was Kansas's 'Dust in the Wind').
